Employee productivity is a crucial factor in achieving institutional goals, and both discipline and motivation play significant roles in enhancing work performance. This research employs a quantitative approach, using primary data collected through questionnaires and observations of employees. The analysis includes validity and reliability tests, as well as hypothesis testing using the F-test, T-test, multiple linear regression, and the coefficient of determination (R²). A total of 60 respondents were selected using the Slovin sampling technique. The findings reveal that the discipline variable has a significant positive effect on work productivity, as indicated by the t-test results (t-calculated = 7.132 &gt; t-table = 2.002). Similarly, work motivation also significantly influences work productivity (t-calculated = 19.614 &gt; t-table = 2.002). The F-test results show that discipline and work motivation simultaneously impact work productivity (F-calculated = 824.481 &gt; F-table = 3.16). The multiple linear regression analysis further confirms the positive impact, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 96.5%, meaning that the independent variables account for 96.5% of the variation in work productivity, while the remaining 3.5% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.</span></div> Sahruddin Malik Aras Solong Subhan Djaya Khaerunnisa Sucipto Copyright (c) 2025 Saharuddin Malik, Aras Solong, Subhan Djaya, Khaerunnisa Sucipto https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-02-28 2025-02-28 5 1 121 128 10.59065/jissr.v5i1.180 Blue Economy and Economic Growth: The Sulawesi Economic Corridor Policy for Accelerated Development https://ojs.ycit.or.id/index.php/JISSR/article/view/178 <div><span lang="EN-US">The blue economy is a crucial national development priority aimed at reinforcing Indonesia’s position as a leading maritime nation. The fisheries and marine sectors have significantly contributed to national economic growth, yet challenges such as marine environmental degradation persist. Eastern Indonesia, home to nearly 50% of the country’s mining reserves, has been designated as a hub for national mining activities. However, empirical evidence suggests that mining operations negatively impact marine sustainability, necessitating an economic policy framework that balances development with environmental conservation. The blue economy approach offers a viable solution by integrating fisheries, maritime, and mining sectors to foster inclusive and resilient growth. This study explores a balanced blue economy model that aligns economic development with sustainability goals. Given the impending conclusion of the Sulawesi Economic Corridor acceleration framework in 2025, the study’s findings can guide future development planning. To accelerate sustainable economic growth in Eastern Indonesia, four strategic agendas are proposed. First, develop a comprehensive database to assess economic achievements, potential opportunities, and existing challenges in the blue economy. Second, evaluate the resources, performance, and economic contribution of the mining and oil and gas sector at national and regional levels. Third, analyze intersectoral relationships within the blue economy to formulate effective growth strategies. Lastly, design a sustainable blue economy model that integrates fisheries, maritime, and mining sectors, ensuring inclusive and long-term development. Through these strategies, Eastern Indonesia can achieve sustainable economic progress while safeguarding its marine resources.</span></div> Marjani Hasddin Mirad Asrul Murini Copyright (c) 2025 Marjani, Hasddin, Mirad, Asrul, Murini https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-02-28 2025-02-28 5 1 98 111 10.59065/jissr.v5i1.178 The Impact of Free Nutritious Meal Programs on Food Security: A Systematic Review https://ojs.ycit.or.id/index.php/JISSR/article/view/177 <div><span lang="EN-US">Food security is a persistent global challenge, particularly in low-income communities where access to nutritious food is limited. Free nutritious meal programs have been introduced to enhance food access and improve nutritional intake, especially for vulnerable populations such as children and low-income families. Despite their implementation, their overall impact on food security at the household and community levels remains underexplored. This systematic review examines the role of free nutritious meal programs in improving food security by evaluating their effects on food availability, accessibility, utilization, and stability. The study also highlights economic, social, and policy-related challenges affecting program sustainability. A systematic literature review was conducted following PRISMA guidelines. Data were sourced from academic databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, and PubMed, focusing on studies published in the last decade. Thematic analysis was employed to identify trends related to program effectiveness, policy integration, and long-term sustainability. Findings indicate that free meal programs enhance food security by increasing access to nutritious food, reducing malnutrition, and improving educational and economic outcomes. However, challenges such as financial constraints, logistical barriers, and policy fragmentation limit long-term success. While free nutritious meal programs offer short-term relief for food insecurity, their sustainability depends on strong policy support, financial investment, and integration with local food systems. Further research should explore scalable models to ensure their long-term effectiveness in diverse socio-economic settings.</span></div> Yusriadi Yusriadi Copyright (c) 2025 Yusriadi Yusriadi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-01-27 2025-01-27 5 1 92 97 10.59065/jissr.v5i1.177 The Dynamics of Bullying in Schools: Causes, Impacts, and Prevention Strategies https://ojs.ycit.or.id/index.php/JISSR/article/view/176 <div><span lang="EN-US">Bullying in schools is a persistent social issue that significantly impacts students’ psychological well-being, academic performance, and overall development. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of bullying by exploring its underlying causes, the consequences for both victims and perpetrators, and the most effective prevention strategies in educational settings. Using a literature review approach, this research synthesizes findings from various academic sources to provide a comprehensive understanding of school bullying. The results indicate that bullying arises from multiple interconnected factors, including individual traits, family environment, peer influence, and school policies. Victims often suffer from long-term psychological effects such as anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem, which can lead to decreased academic motivation and social withdrawal. Meanwhile, perpetrators may develop aggressive tendencies that persist into adulthood, increasing the likelihood of engaging in antisocial behavior. Moreover, bullying negatively affects the overall school climate, creating an unsafe learning environment that disrupts students' educational experiences. To address this issue, schools must implement a multifaceted prevention approach, including educational campaigns, strict anti-bullying policies, teacher training programs, and parental involvement. Establishing a supportive and inclusive school culture is essential to reducing bullying incidents and fostering positive student interactions. By incorporating these strategies, schools can create a safer and more conducive learning environment that promotes student well-being and academic success.</span></div> Jumra Mukhawas Rasyid Andi Baharuddin Arifullah Copyright (c) 2025 Jumra, Mukhawas Rasyid, Andi Baharuddin, Arifullah https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-01-25 2025-01-25 5 1 83 91 10.59065/jissr.v5i1.176 Inequality of Rights in Verstek Divorce: Islamic Law Perspective and Practices in Religious Courts https://ojs.ycit.or.id/index.php/JISSR/article/view/175 <div><span lang="EN-US">Verstek divorce rulings, where one party does not attend court proceedings, often result in inequalities in fulfilling the rights of ex-wives. This study explores the legal obligations of husbands toward their former spouses in verstek divorce cases, analyzing both Islamic legal principles and judicial practices in Indonesian Religious Courts. Using an empirical juridical approach, this research was conducted at the Watampone Religious Court Class IA through legal document analysis and interviews with judges and other key stakeholders. The findings indicate that while Islamic law mandates husbands to provide financial support to their ex-wives, including <em>nafkah iddah</em> (maintenance during the waiting period) and <em>nafkah mut’ah</em> (consolation gifts), these provisions are often not enforced effectively in verstek decisions. The absence of the husband in court proceedings significantly affects the judicial process, limiting the court’s ability to ensure compliance. Additionally, many women lack legal awareness, leading to challenges in claiming their rights. Even when courts rule in favor of ex-wives, enforcing financial obligations remains a major issue due to weak legal execution mechanisms. This study highlights the urgent need for improved legal frameworks and enforcement strategies to protect women’s rights in verstek divorce cases. Strengthening legal aid services, increasing judicial oversight, and enhancing post-divorce monitoring mechanisms are essential steps to ensure the equitable implementation of Islamic family law.</span></div> Ridmajayanti Alwi Jaya Arifullah Jumra Nurmisari Copyright (c) 2025 Ridmajayanti, Alwi Jaya, Arifullah, Jumra, Nurmisari https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-01-25 2025-01-25 5 1 73 82 10.59065/jissr.v5i1.175 Resilience of Rural Communities Facing Global Challenges https://ojs.ycit.or.id/index.php/JISSR/article/view/174 <p>Rural communities globally face interconnected challenges, from climate change and natural disasters to economic shocks and pandemics, increasing their vulnerability.&nbsp; Effective adaptation and resilience strategies are crucial.
